本周对微软来说可谓坏消息连连。首先，微软被宿敌IBM超越，失去全球第二大科技公司宝座。

现在，对冲基金经理David Einhorn又呼吁微软首席执行官兼第二大股东鲍尔默下台。Einhorn周三在纽约举行的Ira Sohn投资会议上表示，鲍尔默导致微软股价下挫，而且其管理方式固步自封。

Einhorn说，鲍尔默继续在位是对微软股价的最大威胁，公司董事会应该要求鲍尔默辞职，给其它人机会。

之前，微软先后在手机市场失利于苹果和谷歌，又被苹果iPad抢去运行微软窗口软件的个人计算机市场占有率，因此55岁的鲍尔默遭到股东越来越强烈的批评。

去年，因微软手机和计算机业务未达预期，微软董事会削减了鲍尔默的花红。

Greenlight's David Einhorn says Microsoft boss is dragging down the company's share price

It hasn't been Microsoft's week. First, it was overhauled as the world's No2 technology firm by its old rival, IBM.

Now, David Einhorn, a maverick hedge fund manager, is calling for the scalp of Steve Ballmer, Microsoft's boss and second-biggest shareholder. Ballmer is weighing on the company's share price, Einhorn told the influential Ira Sohn investment conference in New York on Wednesday, saying the software maker suffers from "Charlie Brown management".

It's time for Microsoft's board to tell Steve Ballmer, `All right, we see what you can do, let's give so-and-so a chance,'" Einhorn said. "His continued presence is the biggest overhang on Microsoft's stock."

Ballmer, 55, has come under increased scrutiny from shareholders as the company loses market share to Apple and Google in mobile phones and Apple's iPad takes sales from personal computers running Microsoft's Windows.

Last year, the board docked Ballmer some of his potential bonus for falling short in the mobile industry and new computers.
