Xi arrives in Hungary for state visit

Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in Budapest for a state visit.

He was greeted at the airport by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and his wife.

In a written speech upon arrival, President Xi hailed the development of bilateral relations over the years.

He said he is confident that this visit will usher in an even brighter future for the relationship.

Hungary was one of the first countries to recognize the People's Republic of China.

In 2017, the two countries elevated their ties to become comprehensive strategic partners.

CMG launches Classics Quoted by Xi Jinping, sign cooperation deals in Budapest

In Budapest, China Media Group on Wednesday launched the video series of the Classics Quoted by Xi Jinping.

The international edition of the documentary puts together the Chinese president's quotes from ancient Chinese classics in his speeches, articles and remarks.

It provides a window into how traditional literature has helped nourish President Xi's thoughts on politics and governance.

Former Hungarian President Pal Schmitt and former Prime Minister Peter Medgyessy congratulated on the broadcasting of the show.

They both expressed the hope the media sector of both countries strengthen cooperation and help push bilateral ties to a new level.

Meantime, CMG also agreed to work with Hungarian media for the production of several documentary projects.

It also signed cooperation agreements with the Franz Liszt Academy of Music to boost people-to-people exchanges.

Xi concludes visit to Serbia

Earlier, President Xi concluded his state visit to Serbia.

The two sides agreed to build a community with a shared future in the new era.

President Xi said it is a strategic choice made by both sides, and the goal is to realize the aspiration of the people for a better life.

The Chinese President announced six supportive measures in this regard.
