文化支持（Delight the culture）

推动文化遗产的保护和传承是佳能（中国）的企业社会责任之一，2008年，佳能（中国）支持了由舞蹈艺术家杨丽萍主创的大型藏族原生态舞乐《藏谜》，希望借助此气势恢弘、美轮美奂地歌舞剧，对古老、独特的藏文化保护及传播尽一份力。2009年5月，佳能（中国）启动“羌族非物质文化遗产数字化保护”项目，用摄影、摄像和3D技术对羌族文化艺术表现形式及其传承人进行全方位数据采集和记录，形成影像数据库，捐赠给中国非物质文化遗产保护中心等非遗保护机构，用于科研和传承，并通过公众展示等方式唤醒公众对非遗的保护意识。未来，佳能（中国）还将继续支持更多的优秀文化遗产和非物质文化遗产的保护和传承。

As part of our commitments to CSR, we remain devoted to cultural heritage, helping to keep the legacy of past generations alive today and tomorrow. In 2008, Canon (China) contributed its humble share to the conservation and dissemination of the ancient yet unique Tibetan culture by patronizing Tibetan Myth (Tibetan Riddle/Enigma), a grandiose and funky folk drama directed by Ms. Yang Liping, a well-known Chinese choreographer. As a socially responsible player, we embarked on/set in motion/set in train/ a special cultural stewardship campaign in May 2009 on the intangible cultural heritage of Qiang people, one of China’s 55 ethnic minority groups, aiming to help their invaluable legacy go digital as a way of protection. With the help of cutting-edge imaging and 3D technologies, we put together a database of photos and AV footages documenting Qiang folklore in all its expressions and those stewards of the cultural treasure and donated the end-product to China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center and other public actors for research, promotion and awareness building. Going forward, we will renew our commitment to cultural heritage protection, physical and intangible alike.

Rather, we have a proven track record of relief commitments, donating generously in both cash and kind in the hope of helping people get over the humps and weathering storms together with them. While forces of nature have flexed their muscle among other contingency in recent years, Canon has never failed to act immediately as a citizenship-conscious business, playing its due part in the fight against either the SARS outbreak/epidemic that dealt a heavy blow to China in 2003, the devastating tsunami that swept across Southeast Asia in 2004, the temblor that jolted Pu’er, Yunnan province in 2007, the snow disaster, arguably the worst in a century, that hit much of South China in early 2008 or the catastrophic quake that rocked Sichuan province in mid 2008.

看了韩老师的翻译受益匪浅。有三个小问题想请教。
1. 形容藏舞时，用了funky这个词，查了下词典，觉得这个词有很贬义的趋向，只在一本词典里看到口语中能够表示极好，这样的选词是否是acceptable的？
2. 第二段，donating generously in both cash and kind 我觉得应该是kindness，可能是笔误吧。
3. 第二段末尾，列举诸多灾难时，用了either..or 。好像either...or表二者选其一，能用来单纯表示列举而不产生歧义吗？
