很高兴出席“出口中国”英国专场活动。首先，我谨代表中国驻英国大使馆，对王文涛部长一行访问英国表示热烈欢迎，对凯尔大臣出席今天的活动表示衷心感谢。明天，王文涛部长和凯尔大臣还将共同主持召开中英经贸联委会第15次会议。我相信，此次会议将为中英经贸合作注入新的动力。

It is a real pleasure to attend the “Export to China” UK session. 

On behalf of the Chinese Embassy in the UK, I would like to warmly welcome Minister Wang Wentao and his delegation to London. I would also like to thank Secretary Kyle and his team for their support and participation.

Minister Wang and Secretary Kyle will co-chair the 15th meeting of the China-UK Joint Economic and Trade Commission (JETCO) tomorrow. I am sure the meeting will give impetus to China-UK economic relations.

Ladies and gentlemen, 

7月1日，中国共产党迎来105周年华诞。今天上午，庆祝中国共产党成立105周年大会在北京隆重举行，习近平主席发表了重要讲话。105年来，中国共产党团结带领全国各族人民，进行了波澜壮阔的伟大斗争，书写了中华民族几千年历史上最恢宏的史诗。

Today, 1 July, marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). This morning, President Xi Jinping made an important speech at a rally celebrating this special occasion.

Over the past 105 years, under the leadership of the CPC, the Chinese people have carried out an arduous struggle and delivered earth-shaking historical changes to the country. 

当前，中国人民正满怀信心朝着全面建成社会主义现代化强国、实现中华民族伟大复兴的宏伟目标奋勇前进。中华民族伟大复兴势不可挡，展现出前所未有的光明前景。

Today, the Chinese people are on a new journey to build China into a great modern socialist country, that is what we call the national rejuvenation. This is an unstoppable cause that is showing a promising outlook.

中国将坚定不移推进高质量发展，扩大高水平对外开放。今年是“十五五”开局之年，中国经济展现出强劲韧性和蓬勃动力。中国拥有14亿多人口、中等收入群体不断扩大。中国超大规模市场向世界各国提供了前所未有的机遇。我们欢迎各国企业深化对华务实合作，共享中国发展新机遇，实现更高水平互利共赢。

In this endeavor, China is firmly committed to high-quality development at home and to high-standard opening up to the world. 

As we begin to implement the 15th Five-Year Plan this year, China’s economy shows strong resilience and vitality. 

With over 1.4 billion people and an ever-growing middle-income group, China has a super-sized market, which means unprecedented economic opportunities for other countries in the world. 

We welcome businesses from around the world to trade and work with China, share the new opportunities, and create greater mutual benefits.

过去几年里，我有幸访问了英国各地，亲眼目睹中英合作的巨大潜力。无论是在伦敦，还是在曼彻斯特、爱丁堡、贝尔法斯特，我所接触的各界人士都支持加强中英交往与合作。英国工商界更是长期积极推动中英经贸合作。

As Chinese Ambassador to the UK, I have had the pleasure of travelling across the country over the past few years. I have seen with my own eyes the huge potentials for collaboration between our two countries. 

Whether in London or Manchester, Edinburgh or Belfast, the people I have met all support China-UK engagement and cooperation. The UK business community, in particular, has long been championing closer China-UK economic partnership. 

中英经贸关系互利双赢。目前，对华出口给英国带来近50万个就业岗位，在英中资企业为当地直接创造超过5.6万个就业岗位，间接创造超过15万个工作机会。来自中国的产品有助于英国缓解通胀压力、提升劳动生产率、推进绿色转型。中英经济结构有很强的互补性。中国是制造业大国，英国是服务业强国。中国“十五五”规划与英国现代产业战略以及地区协调发展计划也有很多契合点。

This economic partnership is a win-win for both countries. Export to China supports half a million jobs in the UK. Chinese enterprises in the UK have created 56,000 jobs directly and 150,000 jobs indirectly. Imports from China can help the UK to offset inflation, grow productivity, and advance green transition. 

Our two countries’ economic structures are complementary. We are a big manufacturer. You are a strong service provider. China’s 15th Five-Year Plan and the UK’s Modern Industrial Strategy and your new plan to achieve coordinated regional development are very much aligned.

Ladies and gentlemen, 

当前，世界经济面临诸多挑战。中英两国应该加强多双边沟通协调，深化各领域务实合作。这也正是我们今天在伦敦举办“出口中国”英国专场活动的原因。中方愿与英方共同努力，发展长期稳定的全面战略伙伴关系。希望英国工商界充分用好今天的活动，密切与中国企业的联系，挖掘互利合作潜力，打造更多合作亮点。

The global economy is currently faced with a lot of challenges. China and the UK have all the more reason to step up collaboration at bilateral and multilateral levels and strengthen cooperation across various areas.

This is why we have brought “Export to China” to London. 

Yes, China is committed to building a long-term and consistent comprehensive strategic partnership with the UK.

I hope the UK business community will take advantage of today’s event, make new connections with Chinese companies, and find ways to deepen cooperation and create more highlights.
