日前有指中国黑客企图入侵数百名Google电邮账户，中国外交部昨日表示，不能接受这种指控。

外交部发言人洪磊于例行新闻发布会上称，无法接受将有关问题归咎于中国，称黑客是国际问题，中国亦是受害者。他还说，所谓中国政府支持黑客行为的说法完全是无中生有，是别有用心的。

洪磊发布消息的几个小时后，美国国务卿希拉里表示，Google 指称的入侵事件 "非常严重" ，联邦调查局将展开调查。她告诉记者，奥巴马政府非常关心此次指控。

Google在其官方博客上披露道，此案作案者似乎来自山东省济南市，最近企图窃取邮箱密码以入侵及监控邮箱。但Google检测到该活动并加以阻止。

距离上次Google披露中国黑客攻击事件仅一年多，此次事件会进一步加剧Google与北京的紧张关系。

Attempted hacking of hundreds of Gmail accounts appears to have originated in Jinan, Google says

The Foreign Ministry "cannot accept" accusations that hackers probably based in China tried to break into hundreds of Google mail accounts, it said yesterday.

"Blaming these misdeeds on China is unacceptable," ministry spokesman Hong Lei told a regular news briefing. "Hacking is an international problem and China is also a victim. The claims of so-called support for hacking are completely unfounded and have ulterior motives," he said.

Hours after Hong's comment, however, the US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said that Google's allegations are "very serious" and will be investigated by the FBI. Clinton told reporters that the Obama administration was disturbed by the charges.

The unknown perpetrators, who appeared to originate in the city of Jinan in Shandong province, recently tried to crack and monitor e-mail accounts by stealing passwords, but Google detected and "disrupted" their campaign, the world's largest web search company said on its official blog.

The revelation comes more than a year after Google disclosed a cyberattack on its systems that it said it traced to China, and could further strain an already tense relationship between the web giant and Beijing. Google eventually all but pulled out of the world's largest internet market by users.

Lanxiang, a vocational school in Shandong that was reportedly involved in a series of online attacks on Google last year, yesterday denied it had anything to do with the attempted hacking.

"We know nothing about it and it certainly has nothing to do with us," a staff member of the vocational school, which was established with military support and trains some computer scientists for the military, said by telephone.

Google did not say the central government was behind the attacks nor did it say what might have motivated them. "We recently uncovered a campaign to collect user passwords, likely through phishing," Google said, referring to the practice where computer users are tricked into giving up sensitive information.

It "affected what seem to be the personal Gmail accounts of hundreds of users, including, among others, senior US government officials, Chinese political activists, officials in several Asian countries [predominantly South Korea], military personnel and journalists."

But cyberattacks originating on the mainland have become common in recent years, said Bruce Schneier, chief security technology officer at telecommunications company BT.

"It's not just the Chinese government. It's independent actors within China who are working with the tacit approval of the government," he said.

Lockheed Martin Corp, the US government's top information technology provider, said last week it had thwarted "a significant and tenacious attack" on its information systems network, though the company and government officials have not yet said where they think the attack originated.

"We have no reason to believe that any official US government e-mail accounts were accessed," White House spokesman Tommy Vietor said.
