欢迎在“世界使馆开放日”走进中国使馆。今天，我们将寻迹丝路起点、邂逅大美陕西，在品尝biangbiang面、肉夹馍中感受醇厚鲜香的西北风味，在观赏大唐乐舞、游览兵马俑展中领略三秦大地的独特魅力，并从陕西出发，感悟中国的过去、现在和未来。

Welcome to the Chinese Embassy on the Around the World Embassy Tour. Today, we will explore Shaanxi Province in northwest China, the starting point of the ancient Silk Road. Let us savor the rich and robust flavors of Shaanxi through biangbiang noodles and roujiamo (or Chinese burger), discover the ancient land’s unique charm through music and dance from the Tang Dynasty andterracotta exhibitions, and also catch a glimpse of China’s past, present, and future.

陕西是一条河，承载着中华文明的生生不息。“五千年中国看陕西”，中华民族的母亲河黄河自此奔腾而过，滋养出灿烂的华夏文明。14个王朝在此定都，“世界第八大奇迹”兵马俑、大雁塔等文明瑰宝熠熠生辉，“中国古代交响乐”西安鼓乐、皮影戏等非遗文化灿若繁星。

Shaanxi is like a river, carrying the continuity of Chinese civilization.As a saying goes, “To understand 5,000 years of Chinese history, visit Shaanxi.” The Yellow River, which is the mother river of the Chinese nation, flows through Shaanxi and has nurtured the splendid Chinese civilization. Fourteen dynasties in Chinese history established their capitals here. From the terracotta warriors, the “Eighth Wonder of the World”, to the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, cultural treasures shine across the land. From Xi’an drum music, known as “China’s ancient symphony”, to shadow puppetry, intangible cultural heritage abounds.

今天的陕西，在创新中传承，让“文化活化石”重焕新生。大唐不夜城成为现象级地标，千年遗音直播“出圈”。从过去到现在再赴未来，中华文明历经沧海桑田而绵延不绝，革故鼎新正是其奥秘所在。

Today, through preservation and innovation, Shaanxi has breathed new life into these living cultural fossils. The Grand Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City has become an iconic landmark of the ancient capital, while millennia-old drum music is attracting new audiences through livestreamed performances.From the past to the present and into the future, innovation has sustained Chinese civilization through changing times, continuously renewing its vitality.

陕西是一座碑，铭刻着中华儿女的砥砺奋进。延安是新中国的摇篮，中国共产党正是在这里指挥抗日战争和解放战争取得全国性胜利。今天的陕西，已从脱贫路走上振兴路，成为工业重地和科技先锋。

Shaanxi stands as a monument, paying tribute to thestriving spirit of the Chinese people. Yan’an in northern Shaanxi is hailed as the cradle of New China. It was from here that the Communist Party of China led the nation to victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation.

新能源汽车、太阳能电池、3D打印设备等成为陕西“新名片”，量子及光子等万亿级未来产业正加速构建。从过去到现在再赴未来，中国人民始终勤勉耕耘、自强不息，在神州大地上书写激动人心的历史新篇。

Today, Shaanxi has eradicated poverty and embarked on the path of revitalization, emerging as a major industrial hub and a pioneer in science and technology.Electric vehicles, solar batteries, and 3D printing equipment are becoming Shaanxi’s new hallmarks, while trillion-yuan-scale future industries, including quantum and photonics sectors, are rapidly taking shape. From the past to the present and into the future, the Chinese people have never ceased to forge ahead with perseverance, writing exciting new chapters of history across the country.

陕西是一扇窗，见证着中华民族的开放包容。2100多年前，西汉张骞从长安出使西域，开辟丝路。1400多年前，唐朝玄奘法师自长安西行，取经求法。唐朝的长安是世界上首个“百万人口级”国际化大都市，300多个国家的使臣、商队、学者云集于此，多元文化交融荟萃。

Shaanxi opens a window, showcasing the openness and inclusiveness of the Chinese nation. Over 2,100 years ago, Zhang Qian, an envoy of the Western Han Dynasty, set out from Chang’an, today’s Xi’an, on a diplomatic mission to the western regions, laying a foundation for the famous Silk Road. Over 1,400 years ago, the eminent monk Xuanzang of the Tang Dynasty made a pilgrimage to the west from Chang’an in search of Buddhist scriptures. Chang’an at the time was a truly international metropolis and the world’s first city with a population of over 1 million. Envoys, caravans, and scholars from more than 300 countries gathered here, where diverse cultures met, blended, and resonated in perfect harmony.

今天的陕西，深度融入共建“一带一路”，成为中国腹地的开放高地。每100分钟就有一列中欧班列进出西安国际港，自贸“试验田”硕果累累，93个国家和地区的企业在陕投资兴业。从过去到现在再赴未来，中国始终敞开怀抱拥抱世界，迈开大步走向世界。

Today, Shaanxi has deeply integrated into the Belt and Road Initiative, and become a frontier of opening up in China’s hinterland. Every 100 minutes, a China-Europefreight train leaves or arrives at Xi’an International Port Station. The Shaanxi Pilot Free Trade Zone has yielded fruitful outcomes. Enterprises from 93 countries and regions are investing and operating in the province. From the past to the present and into the future, China has always embraced the world with open arms, and engaged with the world confidently.

陕西是一本书，记录着中美友好的动人佳话。1936年，美国记者埃德加·斯诺来到延安，采访红军领导人，写就《红星照耀中国》，首次向世界展现中国共产党的真实形象。二战期间，为配合飞虎队作战，汉中百姓用锄头一点点平整跑道，45天内扩建机场。

Shaanxi is like a book, recording touching stories of China-U.S. friendship. In 1936, American journalist Edgar Snow visited Yan’an and interviewed leaders of the Chinese Red Army, after which he wrote Red Star Over China, presenting the true image of the Communist Party of China to the world for the first time. During the World War II, to support the Flying Tigers, the people of Hanzhong City in southwest Shaanxi leveled the runways with hoes, and expanded the airfield within just 45 days.

今天的陕西，续写着中美友谊的故事。陕西与美国结下13对友城，第14届中美旅游高层对话在西安举办，犹他州One Voice儿童合唱团与中国青少年在西安古城墙下唱响友谊之歌。从过去到现在再赴未来，中美人民始终对彼此怀有友好的感情，交流合作的根本愿望历久弥新。

Today, Shaanxi is renewing the friendship between China and the United States. The province and its cities have established 13 sister-city relationships with U.S. counterparts. The 14th China-U.S. Tourism Leadership Summit was held in Xi’an. One Voice Children’s Choir from Utah and their Chinese peers sang together songs of friendship under the ancient city wall of Xi’an. From the past to the present and into the future, the people of our two countries have always held warm feelings toward each other, and their shared aspiration for exchanges and cooperation continues to grow stronger.

Dear friends,

陕西考古博物馆的墙上写着这样一句话：“让过去拥有未来。”五千多年来，一代代中国人薪火相传，缔造了世界上唯一没有中断的文明。今天的中国，已踏上“十五五”新征程，正扎实推动高质量发展，进一步全面深化改革开放，迈向更光明的未来。一个更加繁荣的中国，必将是动荡世界的和平之锚和稳定港湾；一个更加开放的中国，必将为各国共同发展带来强劲动力和广阔机遇。

On the wall of the ShaanxiArchaeology Museum are the following words: “Give the past a future.” For more than 5,000 years, the Chinese people have carried the torch generation upon generation, and created the world’s only uninterrupted civilization. Today, China has embarked on a new journey during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. We are taking solid steps to advance high-quality development, further deepening reform and opening-up on all fronts, and heading toward a brighter future. A more prosperous China will surely be an anchor of peace and a harbor of stability in a turbulent world, and a more open China will bring strong momentum and vast opportunities for shared development of all countries.

半个多世纪以来，中美关系虽历经风雨，但始终克难前行。当前，中美关系再次来到新的十字路口。双方应回首过去汲取中美关系发展的经验教训，立足现在推动中美关系稳定健康可持续发展，着眼未来构建新时期中美正确相处之道，让两国人民、世界各国人民的日子都越来越美好。

Over the past five decades and more, the China-U.S. relationship has kept moving forward despite wind and rain. Currently, the relationship has come to another crossroads.Our two sides need to review the past, and draw experience and lessons from history. We need to focus on the present, and advance the steady, sound, and sustainable development of bilateral relations. We also need to look to the future, and explore a right way to get along with each other in the new era, so that both our peoples and people around the world will lead better lives.

今年是中美关系“大年”。欢迎更多美国朋友乘着240小时过境免签的东风，走进大美陕西、探索壮丽中国；更多美国企业投身中美经贸合作，抢抓中国机遇、收获全球红利；更多美国青少年参加“5年5万”倡议，争当民间大使、促进人民友谊。

This year is a“big year” for China-U.S. relations. We welcome more American friends to take advantage of China’s 240-hour visa-free transit policy, visit the fascinating land of Shaanxi, and discover the rich splendor of China.We welcome more American businesses to actively participate in China-U.S. economic and trade cooperation, seize China’s opportunities, and share in global benefits. We also welcome more American teenagers to be part of the “50,000 in five years” initiative, strive to be envoys of goodwill, and foster amity between our peoples.
